DeadEchoes Bio
Deadechoes are an American Death Metal band from Lincoln, Nebraska. Formed in 2002, the group consists of vocalist-guitarist Rich Johnson, guitarist Neil Thoene, bassist Jeremy Warner, and drummer Ted Braasch. The band has released one demo, one full length and one live album. They have began recording "The Dead Will Walk" E.P. and are currently writing songs for a second full length.
Deadechoes were originally inspired by Thrash Metal bands like Slayer and Megadeth, Modern Metal bands like Pantera and Slipknot as well as Death Metal bands such as Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel. The band's album art (most often done by Jeff "Zef Metal" Sayers of Wasteoid) and its lyrics, which draw heavily on horror, violence, warfare, isolation and death are brutal and controversial. Musical traits involve fast, technical picking, chaotic blistering solos, thundering bass guitar, intricate double bass drumming, and aggressive guttural and shearing vocals.
The band has played with many Regional and National Acts and have showcased throughout the Midwest.
Deadechoes have been hand picked by Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records along with various independent record stores to be featured on Metal Blade's "Next Big Metal Band" release.
